Interesting Postcard

Finding a postcard I liked was difficult for me. I scrolled through the first five pages of cards with no luck, so I decided to type my favorite number into the page selection area and see what I'd get. Funny enough, the fourth one down immediately caught my eye. Once I clicked on it and got a better view, I liked it even more. The card's front is an illustration of a beach sunset with Santa's sleigh flying into it and has a fancy script font that says "A Load of Christmas Wishes From Florida." Some of the reasons I like this card so much is because of the colors used in the sunset, and also because one of my favorite things to do around Christmas time is to look at all the Christmas cards we receive in the mail.
When I read the message on the back of the card, I definitely knew I made a good choice: firstly, because I could actually read the handwriting and secondly, because it reminds me of my grandma. It reads "Hi Stella: How are things at your end? We are still working at the college + love it. Tom is in catering. Right now he has a sore leg, but his physical was A.O.K. Thank God. Our problem is 'FAT.' + must soon do something about it. Were getting old + hate to travel or visit just tired. Hope you have a nice holiday. Love, Cleo + Tom." I love the humor and sarcasm used in the message- it definitely made me laugh a little and is totally something my grandma would write in a card. I can also guarantee that my grandma has the same Christmas kitty stickers somewhere in her possession and has probably used them on a card she has sent to me at some point in my life.
From reading this card, I think Cleo and Tom would be fun people to be around. The card is definitely old because it shows its wear and tear with stains and smudges. It addressed to Hollywood, Florida, which is somewhere I have never been before. I am guessing Stella is a long-time friend because of the shortness and silliness in the writing. All in all, I really enjoy this postcard.
