The postcard I chose is titled "Greetings from Niagara Falls." After reading the title, I immediately thought of the television series The Office. Recently I have been binge watching the series on Netflix and just passed the episode of where the whole corporation goes to Niagara Falls for a wedding. Although I have never physically gone to Niagara Falls I felt a connection with the post card because as cheesy as it may sound I'm emotional connected to the television series. The couple married at Niagara Falls are two office employees that have you rooting for them from day one. Through all the obstacles they face, as a viewer you never give up faith for Jim and Pam. These two characters have a complicated history but in the end are inseperable. Which is why their marriage at Niagara Falls is such a monumental moment for the television series itself. The postcard consists of over exaggerated lettering through capitalization. You could say these characteristics also could depict the boss on The Office, Michael Scott. Throughout the episode he somehow manages to turn a minuscule issue into a huge controversy, like always. The postcard also has a yellowish tint to its coloring, inferring that it may be old. Unlike the postcard, The Office will never get old and I will continue my addiction to this television series.
