If I had to create a museum of everyday writing I would incorporate many things. Key components of the museum would be postcards, handwritten notes, and scrapbooks. I chose theses three things because they accurately depict everyday writing. Everyday writing is something that is not mass produced and is personal and at most times informal. Pieces of writing that are made in multitudes and edited by many people are not everyday writing because it is trying to be perfect. Everyday writing is something that is authentic and disregards all its imperfections. Handwritten notes especially are the epitome of everyday writing, they are extremely personal and make it acceptable to say whatever one wants even if its not what one wants to hear. My museum of everyday writing would have an authentic atmosphere that releases the raw emotions and feelings of writers across the world.
